256. Rabbi Meir Hersch WEHLI (HERSCHWITZ) died on 17 March 1729 in Volyně, Bohemia. What we know of this man is found in the Hebrew epitaph on his 1729 tombstone in the old Jewish cemetery of Volyně (Wolin) in southern Bohemia. He was the son of a man known as Zvi Hersh ... thus his use of the patronymic Hershwitz. He was considered the "leader of Bohemian Jewry." His son, after moving to Prague, adopted the surname Wehli. Devorah [WEHLI] and Rabbi Meir Hersch WEHLI (HERSCHWITZ) were married before 1675.

257. Devorah [WEHLI] died in 1735 in Volyně, Bohemia.

	ii.	Chana HERSCHWITZ was born (date unknown).
	iii.	Zev Wolf HERSCHWITZ was born (date unknown).
