12. José Benito PEREZ Y SILVA was born about 1800 in Galicia, Spain. He died on 23 October 1872 at the age of 72 in Ponce, PR. The death register bears only the name: José Benito Perez. We don't know at present the origin of this Perez family. But, by the deference given to them in the church records, it is obvious that they were wealthy, socially-prominent citizens of Ponce. There were several other men named Acisclo Perez, and at least one other Benito Perez, living in Ponce in the 1850s to 1870s. But, we are unable at present to determine how (or if) they are related to our family. See the Ponce MS Access database for more information on them. The children of Benito Perez shown here, are all certifiably related to us. Maria del Rosario GARCIA Y MONTES and José Benito PEREZ Y SILVA were married about 1825.

13. Maria del Rosario GARCIA Y MONTES was born about 1805 in Ponce, PR.

Children were:

	i.	Luis PEREZ was born about 1828 in Ponce, PR. He died on 6 January 1878 at the age of 50 in Ponce, PR.
	ii.	Josepha Estasia PEREZ was born about 1830 in Ponce, PR.
	iii.	Maria del Rosario "Rose" PEREZ was born in 1831 in Ponce, PR. She died on 11 May 1911 at the age of 80 in Ponce, PR.
6	iv.	Acisclo PEREZ.
