2. Hermann Hinrich LÜHRS was born on 16 February 1845 in Walle bei Verden, Hannover, GER.^1,2 He was baptized at the Verden Dom on March 2. The baptismal record shows his given names as Harm Hinrich. He died on 21 April 1912 at the age of 67 in Walle bei Verden, Hannover, GER. At the time of his marriage in 1870, he took over the family tavern from his step-father who reputedly was operating it poorly. He was the Kröger -- tavernkeeper -- at Zum Alte Krug at #19 in Walle and a Pflugkötner, owning small parcels of land outside the village. He was generally called Hinrich. Marie MEYER and Hermann Hinrich LÜHRS were married on 5 May 1870.

3. Marie MEYER was born on 11 February 1848 in Nindorf bei Verden, Hannover, GER.³ She was baptized on March 7 at the Verden Dom. She died on 18 October 1922 at the age of 74 in Walle bei Verden, Hannover, GER.

Children were:

	i.	Heinrich LÜHRS was born on 10 October 1870 in Walle bei Verden, Hannover, GER. He died on 1 July 1937 at the age of 66 in Walle bei Verden, Hannover, GER. He was run over by a car in front of his tavern. He inherited "Zum Alte Krug" -- house #19 in Walle.
	ii.	Dorothea LÜHRS was born on 23 June 1872 in Walle bei Verden, Hannover, GER. She died on 20 August 1955 at the age of 83 in Bremen, FH Bremen, GER.
1	iii.	Johann Hinrich LÜHRS.
	iv.	Georg LÜHRS was born on 15 November 1874 in Walle bei Verden, Hannover, GER. He died on 30 March 1914 at the age of 39 in Verden an der Aller, Hannover, GER. He was accused by a Verden woman of rape, which he denied. He commited suicide while in prison, supposedly to spare his family the trauma of the upcoming trial. He never married.
