14. John MURPHY died about 1854 in Ireland. Murphy is the most common Irish name which is "Murchadha" in Gaelic. "Murchadh" means sea warrior.

He was a "butter taster" -- which was a government official in Cork, Ireland. Ellen BUCKLEY and John MURPHY were married about 1846 in Ireland.

15. Ellen BUCKLEY was born in 1830 in Ireland. She died before 1900 at the age of 70 in New York, NY. She emigrated to the U.S. after the death of her first husband in Ireland, bringing with her the two children of that marriage, Thomas and Julia. About 1856, in New York, she married John Shea. They had four children. Her granddaughters Julia and Loretta recalled that they always called her "Grandma Buckley."

Thomas MURPHY was born in 1849 in Ireland. According to the1870 census, he was 21 years old.
