Third Generation6. László MÁTIS33,34 was born on 2 March 1834 in Beled, Sopron m, HUN.35 He died on 28 December 1861 at the age of 27 in Beled, Sopron m, HUN.36 He was executed. The cause of death in the church record was identified as "ágyon vagdaltatás" -- literally, death by dismemberment on the rack (bed). He was a teacher, and part-time mayor of Beled. He was executed as a result of real or imagined participation in the "little rebellion" (kis forradalom) that resulted from the rejection by Austria of the October Diploma of 1861 that demanded Hungarian autonomy. Anna PÁLFI and László MÁTIS were married on 20 September 1853 in Beled, Sopron m, HUN.37 Witnesses at the wedding were his uncle László Horváth and János Pálfi, both citizens of Beled. 7. Anna PÁLFI was born on 20 April 1837 in Beled, Sopron m, HUN.38 She died on 14 October 1907 at the age of 70 in Kemenesmagasi, Vas m, HUN.39 Her death was reported by her son, Gyula Kis. She was identified as the 70-year-old widow of Károly Kis. Children were:
