10. Ns. Zsigmond SZALAY was born on 12 February 1792 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶⁰ His godparents were István Nagy and Éva Ferentzi; and Ádám Szell and Anna Kis. He died on 25 April 1872 at the age of 80 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶¹ He died of "tüdögyuladás" -- pneumonia -- at age 80. He was buried on April 27. In the baptismal record of his son Zsigmond (b 1834) he was described as a "Curator ur" -- a strange combination of Latin and Hungarian which literally means "overseer gentleman." At his death he was described as a "közbirtokos" -- a mid-sized landowner. Ns. Anna KIS and Ns. Zsigmond SZALAY were married on 13 February 1820 in Kissomlyó, Vas m, HUN.⁶² Witnesses were the distinguished pastor of Szilsárkany, János Gáncs and Ns. Lászlo Szita of Hetyefö.

11. Ns. Anna KIS was born on 25 May 1797 in Kissomlyó, Vas m, HUN.⁶³ It may be important to note that among her godparents were Nemz. József Guótth and his wife Katalin Meszterházi, who were the grandparents of Károly Kis (2nd husband of Anna Pálfi). She died on 14 October 1843 at the age of 46 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶⁴ She was buried on Oct 16. Cause of death was "hektika" -- probably pulmonary tuberculosis.

Children were:

	i.	Zsigmond SZALAY was born on 21 November 1820 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶⁵ He was baptized on the day of his birth. Godparents included Mihaly Szalay and Éva Berendi; and János Kováts and Julianna Szalay. He died on 30 November 1820 at the age of 0 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶⁶ He died at age one week.
	ii.	Ns. Eszter SZALAY was born on 16 March 1822 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶⁷
5	iii.	Ns. Etelka SZALAY.
	iv.	Mária SZALAY was born on 9 January 1827 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶⁸ She died on 29 January 1827 at the age of 0 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁶⁹
	v.	Ns. Mária SZALAY was born on 17 December 1827 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁷⁰ She died on 8 March 1889 at the age of 61 in Csikvánd, Györ m, HUN.⁷¹ She died at age 61, and was buried in Szilsárkany on March 11.
	vi.	Ns. Anna SZALAY was born on 20 June 1830 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁷²
	vii.	Zsigmond SZALAY was born on 1 March 1834 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁷³ He died on 14 March 1834 at the age of 0 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁷⁴ He died at age 14 days, and was buried on March 16.
	viii.	Ns. Erzsébet SZALAY was born on 31 March 1837 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁷⁵ She died on 6 March 1886 at the age of 48 in Szilsárkany, Sopron m. HUN.⁷⁶ She died at age 48 and was buried on March 8.
