Seventh Generation

90. W.B. HARRISON died in 1809 in Halifax County, NC. The only evidence this man was the father of Leah was her 1924 death certificate. He was white and probably from a slave-owning family. His son, Dr. A.S. Harrison (b 1866 in VA), executed his probate documents in 1909 in Halifax County, the only other document we've found that refers to a W.B. Harrison.

91. Queenie HARRISON was born in 1831 in Florida. This family group is based on the 1870 and 1880 census of Liberty Township, Nash County, NC where Queenie is listed as a laborer in 1880. In 1880, she and three of her children are identified as "Mulatto" ... only Alex was identified as "Black". But, in 1870 all her children were listed as "Mulatto".

Children were:

45

i.

Leah HARRISON.

ii.

Thomas HARRISON was born in 1858.

iii.

Charles HARRISON was born in 1860.

iv.

Alex HARRISON was born in 1863.

v.

Ellen Jessie HARRISON was born in September 1869. She was listed as Ellen in 1870 and Jessie in 1880, but obviously the same person. She apparently used Jessie most of her life.
