45. Leah HARRISON was born in December 1853. While the 1870 and 1880 Census says she was born in NC, later documents seem to indicate she was born in Florida. She died on 12 December 1924 at the age of 71 in Tarboro, NC. She died of "cancer of the liver" ... her death certificate gives her occupation as "domestic" and her father's name as W.B. Harrison. This information was given by her younger sister Jessie Harrison Parker. According to the 1900 census, she had given birth to 10 children, all still living. There were six children listed who obviously were by her husband Arran (Aaron) Deans. The 1880 census identifies four children born prior to her marriage. In 1880, Leah and her two oldest children were identified as "Mulatto", the two younger children as "Black".
