10. János BARÁT was born in 1777. This date is based on the age he provided at his second marriage (32) in 1809, rather than the age survivors provided at his 1826 death (55) which indicates a birth about 1771. He died on 21 October 1826 at the age of 49 in Csernye, Veszprém m, HUN.⁶⁶ In his death record he was identified as "the 55 year old Reformed miller at Sikátor." He was buried on 22 October by a nearby Reformed pastor. The cause of death was listed as "ignarus" -- unknown. From 1802 he is listed as a mill owner, in 1809 he owned the mill at Csernye, and from 1811 onward he owned the mill at Sikator. Julianna KOVÁCS and János BARÁT were married on 8 January 1809 in Csernye, Veszprém m, HUN.^67,68 The marriage record reads (in part): Copulatus est Johannes Barat molitor Csernyensis in F. Cottin Veszprim Viduus, cum Vidua Julianna Kováts nata Kováts ..." So, he is identified as a miller in Csernye in the county of Veszprém, and both were previously married. The witnesses were István Barát and Mihály Hegedus.

Information about the same marriage is also recorded in the register of the Csetény Reformed Church -- presumably because the husband was reformed, the bride evangelical. It provides further information about their ages (32 and 20 respectively) and confirms that the ceremony was actually in the Evangelical church since it says "the Csernye Lutheran Reverend" officiated.

11. Julianna KOVÁCS was born on 9 March 1789 in Csernye, Veszprém m, HUN.⁶⁹ Her death record gives her age at 44, indicating that she was born in 1787. But, her age at her second marriage (20) indicates she was born in 1789 and that she was a member of the Evangelical church. The birth referenced here is the only Kovács girl baptized in the Csernye church with the given name Julianna between 1786-1790. Therefore, it seems likely that the parents indicated are correct. She died on 2 September 1831 at the age of 42 in Csernye, Veszprém m, HUN.⁷⁰ She died in the cholera epidemic of that year.
