6. Johann Hermann WÖBSE5 was born on 5 November 1809 in Heidkrug bei Verden, Hannover, GER.5,9 He was baptized at the Verden Dom on 07 November. He died on 1 June 1874 at the age of 64 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER.5,9 He was buried from the Verden Dom. He was also known as Hermann.5,9 He was buried from the Verden Dom. From 1838-41 he was a "Hausling" (landless farm laborer) in Holtum, from 1842-46 a "Hausling" in Völkersen, and from 1847-74 was an "Anbauer" (farmer) in Völkersen, where he built the Wöbse house -- #45 -- in 1845. Anna Elisabeth DIERKS and Johann Hermann WÖBSE were married on 11 August 1838 in Verden an der Aller, Hannover, GER.5 They were married in the Verden Dom.

7. Anna Elisabeth DIERKS was born on 12 December 1811 in Kirchlinteln, Hannover, GER.5,9 She was baptized at Kirchlinteln on 14 December. She died after 1855 at the age of 44 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER. She was buried from the Verden Dom. She was also known as Elisabeth. She was buried from the Verden Dom.

Anna Margaretha WÖBSE was born on 13 November 1839 in Holtum-Geest bei Verden, Hannover, GER.10 She was baptized at the Verden Dom on 24 November. She died after 1910 at the age of 71 in Verden an der Aller, Hannover, GER.

Johann Friedrich WÖBSE was born on 25 January 1844 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER. He died on 24 March 1864 at the age of 20. He was also known as Friedrich.

Johann Hermann WÖBSE was born on 22 July 1845 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER. He died on 28 March 1904 at the age of 58 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER. He was also known as Hermann.

v.

John Hinrich WOBSE was born on 21 July 1848 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER.10 He was baptized at the Verden Dom on 09 July. He died about 1890 at the age of 42 in New York. He was also known as Hinrich. He immigrated to the US, and became a naturalized citizen in 1876 when he was identified as a grocery clerk. He became a prosperous grocer, and when he died childless, he left his money to his relatives in Germany. It was used to repair the Wöbse house in Völkersen, build the new Gerken house in Walle, and to send "Uncle Willie" -- Johann Wilhelm Gerken (1877-1961) -- to the US.

John Diederich WOBSE was born on 3 June 1850 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER.10 He was baptized at the Verden Dom on 16 June. He died 5 kul 1905 in Brooklyn, NY. He was also known as Diederich. He emigrated to the US in 1868. He became a naturalized citizen in 1878.. The Wöbse's, with their son Richard, returned to Germany, and came back to the U.S. in June 1882. In 1902 he was identified as a "Restaurant Keeper" at 126 Woodbine Street in Brooklyn.

On all documents in the U.S. he seemed to give his middle name followed by his first name ... for both himself and his children.

vii.

Anna Meta WOBSE was born on 25 August 1855 in Völkersen bei Verden, Hannover, GER. She immigrated in 1875 to New York. She died on 24 June 1923 at the age of 67 in New York, NY. Anna was also known as Meta.
