Mette Magdalena Dorothee SCHRADER was born on 30 December 1749 in Eitzendorf bei Hoya, Hannover, GER.18 At the time of the child's baptism, the mother alleged that the father was Gerd Hinrich Jacobs of Oiste. But, on 30 Jun 1778 he was absolved of paternity. Sponsors at the baptism were Mette Marie Beks*, Dorothee Elisabeth Bartram, and Gesche Magadalena Harries (daughter of Jürgen). *note: she also, in 1752, had an illegitimate daughter by a cavalryman in von Hammersteins's Regiment.
