First Generation

1. Alphonsus Dubocq "Al" CROXALL III was born on 4 December 1921 in New Albany, IN. He died on 17 June 2017 at the age of 95 in West Hartford, CT. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He entered the US Army in 1945 and was assigned as liaison to Hamilton-Standard at the Army Air Corps Propeller Lab at Wright Field in Dayton. After his 1946 discharge he went to work for Hamilton-Standard ... then a division of United Aircraft Corporation ... in Connecticut. He worked there for 35 years developing propeller and wind turbine systems until his 1977 retirement.
