He died on 18 August 1847 at the age of 35 in Tüschendorf bei Grasberg, Hannover, GER.8 He was buried in Grasberg on Aug 22. He was a moor farmer at Tüschendorf #14. Margarethe SCHRIEFER and Peter POPPE were married on 3 May 1839 in Grasberg, Hannover, GER.9
7. Margarethe SCHRIEFER was born on 2 February 1808 in Seehausen, Hannover, GER.10 She was baptized on Feb 9. She died on 29 April 1892 at the age of 84 in Tüschendorf bei Grasberg, Hannover, GER. This surname is also spelled Schriever.

ii. |  Johann POPPE was born on 12 December 1844 in Tüschendorf bei Grasberg, Hannover, GER. He died on 1 September 1870 at the age of 25 in Metz, FRA.11 He was a musketeer with the 85th Holstein Infantry Regiment and was killed during the Franco-Prussian War in the Battle of Metz. His death is remembered on the Franco-Prussian War Memorial in Grasberg, in a park near the church. He never married. |
