106. John DANIEL was born in 1790 in North Carolina. In the 1870 US Census, this "black" Daniel family lived in the home of a "mulatto" woman named Patsey Hedgepeth. Since this census does not give relationships, we can only conjecture that she was a sibling of Maria Daniel.

107. Maria DANIEL was born in 1815 in North Carolina. In the 1880 US Census she was identified as a farmer and head of a household consisting of two daughters and their children. Her son lived next door with his wife.

Children were:

	i.	Anderson DANIEL was born in 1848 in North Carolina. In 1880 he lived with his wife Delta next-door to his mother.
53	ii.	Nancy DANIEL.
	iii.	Delia DANIEL was born in 1852 in North Carolina. In 1880 she lived with her mother and her three children.
	iv.	Ellen DANIEL was born 18536 in North Carolina.
