62. Ben SHEARIN was born in May 1843 in NC. His death record gives his age as 82, giving 1848 as his birth year. He died on 3 March 1930 at the age of 86 in Weldon, NC. Mollie AUSLEY and Ben SHEARIN were married in 1870. There were at least 12 children of this marriage, of whom ten were still living in 1900. And yes, according to the 1900 census there were two sons named Bennie ... both living at that time.

63. Mollie AUSLEY was born in March 1851 in NC. This birthdate is consistent with her age at death, and makes more sense than the 1858 birthdate in the 1900 US Census. She died on 7 January 1936 at the age of 84 in Faucett Twsp, Halifax Cty, NC. Her maiden name is spelled Osley and Ausby in some places.

Children were:

	i.	Richard SHEARIN was born in January 1876 in NC. In 1900 he was a 24-year-old widower living with two children and employed as a farm laborer on his father's farm.
	ii.	Robert "Bob" SHEARIN was born in March 1879 in NC. He died on 8 August 1943 at the age of 64 in Weldon, NC.
31	iii.	Mattie SHEARIN.
	iv.	Bennie SHEARIN was born in May 1882 in NC.
	v.	Bessie SHEARIN was born in October 1884 in NC. She died on 17 June 1937 at the age of 52 in Durham, NC.
	vi.	Perry SHEARIN was born in May 1888 in NC.
	vii.	West SHEARIN was born in September 1890 in NC.
	viii.	Bennie SHEARIN was born on 28 January 1895 in NC. He died on 22 January 1964 at the age of 68 in Halifax County, NC.
	ix.	Ella SHEARIN was born in February 1899 in NC.
