Ewald Theodor Heinrich DEDEKIND and Elfriede Marie "Ellie" THIELE were married on 6 January 1951 in Braunschweig, Natal, SAF. Elfriede Marie "Ellie" THIELE, daughter of Wilhelm Julius Heinrich THIELE and Wilhelmine Christine Sophie LAMMERDING, was born on 15 October 1927. She died on 8 January 2003 at the age of 75 in Piet Retief, Transvaal, SAF.

Ewald Theodor Heinrich DEDEKIND and Elfriede Marie "Ellie" THIELE had the following children:
