Karl Otto Gustav Helmut "Helmut" DEDEKIND and Lucy Johanna VOLKER were married on 3 February 1940 in Glückstadt, Natal, SAF. Lucy Johanna VOLKER, daughter of Ferdinand Johannes Otto VOLKER and Marie Regina Auguste THÖLE, was born on 24 July 1917 in Lenjane, Natal, SAF. She died on 13 June 2008 at the age of 90.

Karl Otto Gustav Helmut "Helmut" DEDEKIND and Lucy Johanna VOLKER had the following children:

212	ii.	Eris DEDEKIND (private).
213	iii.	Vera DEDEKIND was born on 21 December 1950 in Pietermaritzburg, Natal, SAF. She died on 8 December 2006 at the age of 55.
