This portion of our family history documents five to six generations of the Bomba, Melich, Hanustyák and other related lines who in the 19th century lived in historic Hungary's Gömör county -- now central Slovakia. Most of these people lived in the village of Kisröze (now Revúcka, Slovakia). The information seen here is almost exclusively taken from the church records of the Roman Catholic parish of Nagyröcze (Revúca). The Nagyröcze district was an area of mixed Slovak and Magyar peoples with both the Roman Catholic and Lutheran faiths represented. But, most of this family were Slovaks of the Roman Catholic faith. The Bomba-Melich Family are ancestors of our son-in-law.
